About Me

My name is Natalie Wessling, and I am a second year teacher at Oakland Avenue!  I am a native Floridian, born in Tampa, Florida. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology and recently completed my Masters in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. Florida. I originally wanted to be a child psychologist, but after working within a daycare setting, I realized I had a passion for teaching. So, I decided to pursue a career working alongside children.

I love making crafts, cooking for my family, and trying new recipes. Recently, I learned how to make sushi, with the help of my brother-in-law (the chef). My favorite animal is the killer whales, so I spend a lot of time at Sea World. My favorite season is fall. My favorite color is orange (like pumpkins, because my son was born on Thanksgiving Day). I can't live without coffee, music or my sisters. My proudest accomplishment, is being a Mom, and love my son Brynn to pieces.

And last, I am really looking forward to getting to know more about my new OACS family.
