Hello Parents,

Listed below are some friendly reminders for things going on in our classroom and throughout the week!

In Reading and Social Studies, we have been learning about Martin Luther King Jr.  and his contributions to equal rights. The students have loved learning about him and we have been working on writing projects and activities associated with kindness, his quotes, and his works. Please ask your child about this at home.

In Math, we have been working on 1 more, 1 less, skip counting by 2's, 5's and 10's. Please continue to practice how to move up and down on the number line to add and subtract. We really appreciate your help with this matter.

In today's Friday Folders and agendas, you will see your child's report cards, a food fundraiser for the 5th grade outreach project, some graded papers, and a Valentine's list and class roster. Please take the time to review these materials.

We are still in the middle of our mid-year testing windows. Please ensure that your child is here ON TIME and comes to school REGULARLY. It is imperative to their success that they are present. Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.

Next week will be Literacy Week! We will have different literacy based activities taking place throughout the course of the week. Please be sure to ask your kiddos about our daily activities.

We are always in need of prize box items, 3 mil laminating sheets, and tissues. Please feel free to send things in. Remember for every $10 you spend, you will receive 1 hour of volunteer credit.

We hope you have a restful and relaxing weekend and as always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us.
