"I can't" or "I don't know" are not acceptable answers. Students must try. Not only do I expect my students to give me their best effort when working with me, I expect the same when away from me. I work closely with classroom teachers to ensure that my students are fully engage in the general education classroom. Each student has their own incentive chart (stickers charts - once completed reward time with me) for giving me their best effort. Some students have personal incentive/behavior plans, co-created by the classroom teacher and our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team, for use in their general education classroom.
