The Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland is a beautiful new community gathering space, set in the heart of historic Oakland along the West Orange Trail. The new Center will provide space for art and heritage displays, along with a central location for health and wellness programs. Additionally, there will be outdoor spaces for rest and enjoyment, outdoor public restrooms, and an outdoor concession area for snacks and beverages.
Programming will be focused around Oakland’s heritage, culture, fine art and photography, dance, as well as health/wellness initiatives such as health screenings, health education, nutrition classes, fitness and wellness. Oakland’s Jazz Night gatherings will be hosted at the Center.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The Center will be closed on Sunday and Monday. At this time, entry is free.
We are seeking donor contributions and you can volunteer as a docent at the Center. Applications will be available soon on the Town of Oakland website and at Town Hall.
