Have you been to the Oakland Nature Preserve lately? If so, what were you able to see from the boardwalk? Were you able to see the momma alligator with her many babies?
If you were fortunate enough to be able to experience the wonderment of baby alligators chirping for their momma or crawling up a log to be closer to her; it was probably in part to being able to walk through wetlands on the elevated boardwalk that extends out to Lake Apopka. The boardwalk has seen better days and the Oakland Nature Preserve is now seeking a grant to assist with replacing the boardwalk.
