Black bears have recently been sighted in several locations on the outskirts of Oakland. Did you know you can report black bear sightings? The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has a lot of good information about black bears as well as well as tips on how we can live peacefully with bears.

If you cannot find the information you need on FWC’s website, you can contact the Southeast Regional Office at (352) 732-1225.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will be at the Oakland Nature Preserve located at 747 Machete Trail in Oakland on Saturday, May 11, 2019 to present information on Florida Black Bears. Please come join us to learn more about these amazing creatures!
