Did you know? Orange County’s unique OCFL Alert, OCFL 311 and OCFL News apps are available for free on Apple and Android devices. In addition to the benefits of digital and online emergency management communication capabilities, Orange County’s smartphone applications encourage transparency and citizen engagement, and help residents stay more connected with their government.
The Town of Oakland recommends that each citizen download the app for OCFL Alert which is an emergency notification app that provides critical information during times of emergency. OCFL Alert provides life-saving information about open shelter locations, water and ice distribution centers, evacuation routes and public service announcements. OCFL Alert allows citizens to see a map view of active emergency calls for fire, medical and traffic incidents as well as receive the latest critical information involving severe weather, traffic, evacuation, Amber and boil water alerts.
