Important Information - your utility bill will have a new format this month!

As of this month, we have implemented new utility billing software and you will be receiving your utility bills by postcard. Once you have your new account number, you will be able to go online and register for electronic billings, make electronic payments, and view your utility usage. As we make this change, we will no longer be sending hard copies of the town newsletter out each month to residents. If you still would like a hard copy of the newsletter, you can still pick one up at the front desk of the town hall and eventually at the Arts & Heritage Center. 

Now is a good time to get your newsletters electronically to make sure you keep up to date with all current town happenings! Did you know that you could sign up to be notified when alerts, bid postings, newsletters, employment opportunities, news flashes, calendar items and agenda items are posted on the town’s website? Signing up is simple! Just go to the Town of Oakland website and at the top under the “How Do I” tab go to Sign up for Notifications/Email Blasts. You can enter your e-mail address and sign up to receive the updates of your choice by e-mail or by text message. You can also go to the “Notify Me” icon on the main page of the website and this will take you to the same sign-up page. Note: Make sure you sign up for the News Flash – Town News to be alerted when news articles and the newsletter are ready for viewing. The Town of Oakland also has a Facebook page you can follow.
