The Committee of One Hundred of Orange County, a charitable organization, has donated funds to the Oakland Police Department to assist with the purchase of ballistic shields and vests.
This equipment will help better protect officers in the field.
“I would like to thank The Committee of One Hundred for this generous gift and their charitable support to the men and women of the Oakland Police Department,” said Oakland Police Chief John Peek. “This donation will go a long way to help modernize and protect our personnel should they need to respond to extreme situations and encounters.”
The Committee of One Hundred of Orange County is a nonprofit focused on law enforcement agencies. Founded in 1958, Committee of One Hundred of Orange County is headquartered in Orlando.
