Hop on over to the new Healthy West Orange Arts and Heritage Center at the Town of Oakland to meet the Easter Bunny! The Town is continuing its traditional Spring event - on a smaller scale due to COVID. We are welcoming families to pose for free photos with the Easter Bunny outdoors on our beautiful Center porch, 126 Petris Ave., between 10 a.m. and noon on Saturday, March 27.
Children will be given a special gift from the Bunny, courtesy of the Town of Oakland, while supplies last. Guests are asked to observe local mask mandates and distancing guidelines when attending this event. All staff and volunteers will be required to wear masks with frequent hand sanitizing, for the safety of our guests.
The Arts and Heritage Center will have special Saturday hours during the event, and will be open for visitors with a capacity of 10 persons at a time. The Center gives visitors the opportunity to see the Town of Oakland like never before as they step into a gallery full of paintings, historical photos, artifacts and more – all featuring Oakland as its centerpiece. Celebrate Women's History Month by exploring our new exhibit featuring Grace Mather-Smith, the grande dame of Oakland. Grace grew up in Denver and studied in Chicago before pioneering in Central Florida.
