Over 60 fifth grade students planned, researched, drafted, edited, and created a final copy of a Martin Luther King, Jr. Essay over the course of the last two months. The students were provided various writing prompts to launch their writing topics about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The writing prompts inspired students to research Martin Luther Kings’ life, influence on society, his heroism, and important ideals added to the American society through his work.

Of the 60 plus students that participated, ten have been identified as our Top 10 and three have been named our 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place essay contest winners.
