Since the end of May there have been four residential
burglaries in the same general area of town. Because this is
beginning to trend we want to get the facts out to as many residents as
possible. We have been working these cases since the first one
occurred. Just late last week we identified a possible link between
some of these incidents. Below you will find a brief synopsis of each
burglary:
5/21 501 Briley Av.
Occurred between 6am on 5/20 & 2:35am on
5/21 Home was not
occupied
Point of entry was locked front door (pried).
6/03 14 W. Vick Av.
Occurred between 8pm & 10:30pm on
6/03
Home was not
occupied
Point of entry was locked porch door
(broke window to unlock).
6/15 409 E. Henschen
Av. Occurred between 11pm on 6/14 &
10am on 6/15
Home was not
occupied
Point of entry was unlocked door.
6/22 35 S. Daniels St.
Occurred between 11pm on 6/21 & 7am on
6/22
Home was occupied
Point of entry was locked side door (Pried).
Our patrol officers are continuing to increase their
visibility in the stricken area. Additionally we are working on recent
leads that we have uncovered. If you observe persons acting suspiciously
