[ARCHIVED] Hurricane Irma Preparation Information

We are still unsure of what path Hurricane Irma is going to take.  But please make sure you are prepared.

Sand Bags are available at the Town of Oakland Public Works building located at 50 E. Gulley Ave.  The bags are empty and you have to fill them yourself with sand that is located at the corner of Walker and Hull in Oakland.

At this time there are no facilities that are open or identified as shelters.  That information will be available at a later time.  Orange County and/or the Red Cross will notify us of any shelter openings.

At this time there are no facility or school closings.  That information will be available if closings are necessary.

Updates will be available as they come in.  Thank you for your patience.  Please remember, the storm is still several days from impacting Central Florida.  We will be taking the appropriate measures to make everyone aware of the situation.
