In the wake of Hurricane Irma,  OACS will serve free meals through the National School Lunch Program to any student who wants one, until October 20, 2017. 

This program covers all breakfast and lunch meals  thanks to a waiver to a from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Food, Nutrition and Wellness via the USDA.

Due to the storm, Orange County parents may have experienced a variety of economic impacts, and so this waiver will ensure that any student who needs a meal can get one while they are at school.
