I do not use Town water for irrigation purposes. Do I still have to follow the irrigation watering restrictions stated on the Town's website?
The short answer is yes. Because the Town of Oakland is regulated by the St. John's River Water Management District, all residents must follow its mandates. Even if you draw water from a private well or draw water from a lake, you must follow the stated irrigation watering restrictions. Some exceptions apply. For more information on irrigation schedules and exceptions please visit the SJRWMD website.
