Commissioner Salvador Ramos, Seat 3

Commissioner Salvador Ramos has been an active member of the West Orange community since 1997. He first served on the town’s Charter Committee and in 2015 was elected as a Commissioner for the Town of Oakland. 

He is a board member of MetroPlan Orlando’s Municipal Advisory Committee and Honorary Board Member of Central Florida Council (CFC) Boys Scouts of America and is a recent recipient of the West Orange Golden Eagle Award and Best Small Business award at the Golden Orange Awards. 

Commissioner Ramos started the family-owned construction company, Empire Finish Systems, LLC, along with his two partners Frank Ramos and Iliana R. Jones in 1995. 

Along with being a business owner, developer, and entrepreneur, Commissioner Ramos has been involved with many ministries and non-profit organizations such as Boy Scouts of America, BSA Troop 145, ORE Ethiopia and Love made Visible Ministries through Mosaic, Seeds of Hope Brazil, Home at Last in Oakland, Habitat Blitz Orlando, West Orange Habitat For Humanity, and Love Out Loud with Just For Ministries. He has been a Deacon at Mosaic Church since 2007 and also served as a committee member of the Coalition of Churches in Oakland. He is passionate about Jesus Christ, his family, his business, the Town of Oakland, and serving others.

Commissioner Ramos was born in Baja California, Mexico. Prior to moving to Florida in 1987, he lived in Chihuahua, Mexico and Texas. He has been married to his wife Marivel for the past 19 years and they have four children: Sal III, Camila, Gus and Sara.
